Talc is used in manufacture of engineering polymers. There are plenty of plastic applications where engineering polymers are commonly used. Talc is modified with functional fillers to boost their strong points. Also, talc is an excellent reinforcing filler in polypropylene and engineering thermoplastics for automotive parts, white goods, E&E components and food packaging.
